Price to hit your profit target.
Most sellers price forwards: cost + “a little extra” = price, then fees quietly eat the “extra.” This calculator prices backwards: start from the profit you want, add costs, then gross up for every Etsy fee — so the price you list actually delivers the profit you planned.
Round the result to a friendly price ($17.07 → $16.99 or $17.49) and re-check the profit in the fee calculator. A few cents of rounding rarely breaks the math — but never round down past your target.
The two fixed fees per sale: $0.20 listing + $0.25 payment processing. Everything else scales with price, so the formula grosses those up from your target profit.
It can lift conversion slightly. Just verify the rounded price still clears your profit target — charm pricing that dips under target is a pay cut you gave yourself.
30–40% after all fees and costs is the healthy zone: room for sales, ads, and the occasional return without panic. Under 20% is fragile.
Etsy charges 15% if your shop made under $10,000 in the last 12 months, 12% above that threshold. When in doubt, calculate with 15% — the conservative number.
